Elections in China not free and fair because:

1) Although China has elections at regular intervals of 5 years to elect their parliament Quanguo Renmin Daibiao Dahui(National people’s congress). It has the power to appoint president.

2) It has elected members 3000 from all over China . Some of them are elected by the army

3) to contest in election the person must take approval of the Chinese communist party.

4). Only those of CCP and 8 other parties allied to it only contest in elections. Thus every time the govt. is formed by Chinese communist party,

Hence no opposition. So, no free and fair election.
