electric bulbs filled with chemically inactive nitrogen and Argon because to reduce the availability of oxygen to the filament because melting point of filament is very low if it come in the contact of oxygen the filament will burn

The glass chamber of the bulb can't be filledwith air as the presence of oxygen will cause the filament to burn, i.e. react with oxygen. The glass chamber can't be made vacuum.hope it helps
