why are electric bulbs filled with chemically inactive nitrogen or organ

Tanscrazy: the bulbs are filled with inert gases in order to slow down the oxidation of tungsten (filament) . If we use oxygen then the filament would burn and will not work.

to create illumination and keep the tungsten wire inside without rust for a long time. Also used for maintaining the bulb temperature so that the glass bulb doesn't explode.
