Epithelial tissues said to be simple tissues because they are made up of only type of cells.

Protective covering in the animal body are called epithelial tissues. Cells Indus tissues are closely packed and form continuous layers. Cells of epithelial tissue are separated from the cells of other underline tissues by a fibrous membrane. The skin, mucos layer of the mouth cavity, inner surface of blood vessels, walls of the alveoli , etc are made up of epithelial tissues.
