Fabrics made on "power looms" are cheaper because power looms use electricity and line shafting to produce fabrics which is cheap in comparison to "hand weaving techniques". Hand looms require  more time, energy and human resource to produce a fabric hence are more expensive than power looms. However, initial investment in power looms is higher compared to hand looms but can produce more variety of patterns at an affordable rate.
