Why are fats also called energy banks of our body?

Fats are actually triglycerides. When we eat fats are broken down to fatty acids by the body and they are small molecules. When two fatty acids combine with a glyceride & it results in the formation of triglycerides.

Fatty acids are the sources of energy for our body

When triglycerides are broken down by the body energy is released.....
