well colourful fragrance attracts insects to pollinate
the insects get attracted by the colour and is mesmerized by the sweet smell they come to suck the nectar the pollen grains stick to their legs and when they sit on another plant the pollen grain sticks to the stigma fertillizarion occurs
if there is no colour or gragrance then fruit formation will not take place
