for the British the art of writing was important according to them every official documents had to be clearly written and preserve once this was done things could be clearly studied and debated these documents could be used as a point of reference whenever required

As in the past of our country the most important and suffering era was due to the British rule on us.And the foreign travellers were one those who wrote or explained the wealth of India to other countries and Britishers came to India as a trader(as in form of East India Company) to make India its colony.
