Forests are important for the following reasons:-
firstly we need trees for oxygen
forests are one of the most important wealth
they provide us with many things like fruits, medicines, honey etc.
it provides us with timber, wood etc. for furniture.
it provides shelter to animals.
it completes our ecosystem.
and is the main source of life.

• Prevent floods and maintain the water level

• prevent soil erosion

• supply Oxygen and absorb carbon dioxide

• provide food and shelter for wildlife

• cool the air and increases rainfall

• provides different kind of medicines

• Also provides other forest products like - dye, gum, timber, etc

• They maintain balance in the nature.
