• Non Renewable resources are resources those can't be replenished by the environment over relatively short periods of time.

• This type of resource isn't desirable to use because it doesn't fulfil the amount of usage in a short period of time.

• Fossil fuels are the remains of living organisms which being trapped inside the crust for more than millions of years.

• Hence they're called non renewable resources as they take a longer time to replenish.

Although fossil fuels are continually formed by natural processes, they are generally classified as non-renewable resources because they take millions of years to form and known viable reserves are being depleted much faster than new ones are generated.
