✒Freezers are always on top of a fridge due to the nature of convection. The natural law of convection is that warm air rises while cold air falls,

✒so the freezer at the top provides cold air for the other compartments at the bottom of the freezer.

There are countless fridge freezers on the market with the freezer section at the bottom and they can be found in all varieties, frost free vented units, separately fed evaporators with diverter valves or straight forward freezer evaporator before fridge section with no control for on the freezer at all.

The evaporator is wrapped to form a small freezer section and because it gets very cold when the compressor runs it will freeze the items placed within it. The cold air on the outside of this freezers box will cool and drop forming a convection current within the refrigerator that cools the rest of the fridge section before warming and rising up to the freezer section again.

Hope thisight help you.
