why are frenkel defects not found in pure alkali halides?

Frenkel defects is not found in pure alkali metal halides because this defect is due to vacancy of ino, which is shifted in interstitial spaces and pure alkyl halide do not have vacancy. This is why the frenkel defects not found in pure alkali halides...i hope it helps you
