• The concept of Fundamental Rights was adopted from the US constitution.
• The Fundamental Rights are incorporated under part - III of Indian Constitution.
• The articles 12 - 35 of our Constitution describes about the Fundamental Rights.
• These rights are utilised by citizen for certain reasonable restraints.
• There are six Fundamental Rights in the Constitution.
They are:
1) Right to Equality
2) Right to Freedom
3) Right to Religious Freedom
4) Right against Exploitation
5) Cultural and Educational Right
6) Right to Constitutional Remedies.
Note: There were seven fundamental rights. The additional right was Right to property. But it was removed by 44th Amendment.
