why are fungi considered friend and foe to man ?

Fungi are helpful to us in the products they produce but may also be harmful for the disease they cause. Some fungi like mush-rooms are edible and are considered as crops. Others however, can cause serious diseases of crop and forest plants. That's why they are both friend as well as foe to human (man)
