Why are fungi considered in a kingdom different from protists and bacteria?

Here is ur ans....
Bacteria comes under the kingdom of Monera.
Unicellular prokaryotes called monera and unicellular eukaryotic organisms comes under protista.
Organisms which comes under both monera and protista have autotrophic or heterotrophic mode of nutrition...
Whereas fungi are multicellular eukaryotes with cell wall but don't perform photosynthesis...and also fungi organisms are purely heterotrophic which depends upon dead and decaying organisms for food and thus called saprophytes..
Additional to this,some fungal species live with maintaining a symbiotic relationship with blue green algae...
Thus fungal organisms aren't categorized under the kingdom monera or protista...
