They are given these features so as to bear climatic conditions in the place they are living.And fur is a feature for animals in cold rather say polar regions so as to bear adverse weather nd cold nd for their protection.

As the polar regions are very cold , the fur bearing animals like polar bear,squirrel, snow fox, polar wolves, reindeer etc are found the thick wool present on the body of these animals protect them from severe cold.Fur animals do hibernation and there fur help them for stay warmed .
