Why are gases compressible but not liquids ​

gases are compressible because they have more inter molecular space but liquid have less intermolecular space so gases are more compressible then liquid

Gases are compressible because the intermolecular space is very large in gases, whereas liquids are not compressible because in liquids, the intermolecular space is less.
