why are gases highly compressible !?????????

Gases are highly compressible because they are less dense than other states of matter. It's intermolecular force of attraction is less and it has more space between the molecules. Therefore, it is easy to compress the gas.

Gases are highly compressible because it have more molecular distance between their molecules and their is no force of attraction between the molecules..
and another reason for the high compressibility is its density.. gases have less density thats y it is compressible..
