Comprehensibility depends on Intermolecular space between the atoms..
if we take the order of intermolecular space b/w gases, liquid and solid, GASES will be having more intermolecular space then comes liquid and then solid..
In the case of solids atoms will be closely packed which is responsible for its rigid structure

Molecules of solid and liquid are tightly packed whereas molecules of gases are loosely packed compared with molecules of liquid and solid.so gases are easily compressible whereas solid or liquid can't be compressed
