Why are generators defined oppositely in Weinberg's vs. Maggiore's QFT books?

the parameters ωω are not the same in both cases: one is the negative of the other (actively rotating ππ radians is the same as passively rotating −π−π radians).....

Therefore, both U,JU,J are the same in both conventions, but one ωωis the opposite of the other.....
