Hello Friend

Genes are called heredity vehicles because in reproduction only genetic material is transferred to next-generation. It has various genes located on it which regulate the characters. So along with DNA these are transferred.

Hey there!

What are genes?
The physical or mental characteristics passed from one generation to other by reproduction.

Thus we can define Genes as " a unit of heredity which is transferred from a parent to offspring and is held to determine some characteristic of the offspring."

Genes are a region in DNA, which carry the characteristics of parent to offspring, which is hereditary.

As they transmitting the characteristics from one generation to other they are called "Hereditary Vehicles "

hope you are satisfied with my answer!
