Why are haloalkanes slightly soluble in water but their solubility is high in benzene?

haloalkanes don't form hydrogen bond with water and they are non polar where water is polar so they are insoluble where benzene is non polar solvent hence non polar haloalkanes are highly soluble in benzene.
