Why are heating elements of electric toaster and electric iron made of alloy rather than pure metal?

keshav1077: because alowys are chaper and long lasting

Coils of electric toasters and electric irons made of an alloy rather than a pure metal because the resistivity of an alloy is higher than the pure metal. Also at high temperatures, the alloys do not melt easily......

Hope it helps u ......❤️✌️✨✨✨

Because of following reasons :-

1. Alloy has higher resistivity than pure metal.

2. It has high melting point and does not burn readily or oxidise
