Why are human resources in developed country better developed than in our country?
Answers
Answer:
Human resources development is important because it is an investment in one's employees that will ultimately result in a stronger and more effective workforce. When an organization develops their employees, they are strengthening their assets and making these employees even more valuable.
In Asian countries as also in many other developing countries, all HR issues are put under the rubric of HRD rather than HRM. I was the chief guest in an HRD conference organized by a prestigious central university last week. The papers including all HR issue, and not just people development. They included: diversity management, learning organization, change management, culture building, reward management and so on. I fail to understand why is this so happening despite such a robust discourse on HRM in the Western world, which seems to have got concluded.
