Why are images from Space Probes always in black and white? Why can't NASA mount a color digital camera on board?

National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is constantly working on their projects but as we are not fully developed in science so we are unable to see the clear coloured photos. But in future development our future generations will able to see everything coloured infact we can explore the space by ourselve.

There's a very simple answer. Black and white photography *always* gives you much higher resolution than colour, and in most cases it's the resolution which is the important thing to aim for. Spacecraft carry a range of colour filters, which can be applied to bring out detail for different purposes
