It is vitally important in a democracy that individual judges and the judiciaryas a whole are impartial andindependent of all external pressures and of each other so that those who appear before them and the wider public can have confidence that their cases will be decided fairly and in accordance with the law.

Because if judiciary is not independent then, the legislative and exicutives will misuse their power so, to provide equal oppurtunity to all the people and protect the country's honour it is important.
