Here's the answer :-
Indicators, when dilute in a given solution, are spread and hence react and change the colour to show the results.
But if the liquid is less and the indicator's amount is more, it remains as a bulk and doesn't easily disseminate to show the results.
Always use a pure and dilute indicator [for the case of powdered indicators ] to obtain correct results.

As dyes are intense in colour, they impart colouration even in a very small amount. 3. Also, large amount of dyes may react and disturb
