why are insectivorous plants called Partial heterotrophs?​

The quality of soil is thin or poor providing insufficient nutrients to the plant. Hence they attract,trap and kill insects and absorbs nutrients (mainly nitrogen) available from it. Hence are called partial heterotroph

Because even though they are plants they are dependent on other organisms for nutrition like the heterotrophs so they are called partial heterotrophs
