Internal sources of recruitment considered to be more economical due to the following reasons :  

 

(a) SOURCE OF MOTIVATION :  

Through internal sources, the employee within the organisations are promoted to the next higher position. This give incentives to the employees who promoted to work harder, show loyalty and commitment the growth of the organisation.

 

(b) AID TO HUMAN RESOURCE DEPARTMENT :  

Through internal sources, of recruitment the employees are already known to the organisation and it becomes very easy for the Human resource department to access the worth of the employees working at different levels for the different positions lying vacant.

 

(C)REDUCTION OF TRAINING BURDEN :  

All the employees are already well versed with organisation, transfer and promotion of the employees within the organisation becomes easy and such employees are not required for an induction training.

 

(D)HELPS IN DEALING WITH SHORTAGE AND SURPLUS :  

Through internal sources of recruitment, employees working in any department, if are found in surplus can be transferred to other departments where shortage of employees is felt. It generally happens in the large organisations.
