Hi there !!!
Isotopes are actually the atoms which are of a same element .
The specialty of is that the isotopes have same atomic number , but at the same have different mass number.
The atomic number of an element = no: of protons in that element
Mass number = protons + neutrons in an atom
Example of isotope :
<> Isotopes of Chlorine with atomic number of both the isotopes as 17.
The difference between them is that of their mass number
=========================================================
Isobars on the other hand are opposite to isotopes.
Isobars have different atomic numbers and same mass numbers.
Example of isobars :
Calcium and Argon are isobars.
Calcium and Argon have same mass numbers as 40 .
But , the atomic no: of calcium is 20 , whereas atomic number of argon is 18.
