Why are Kharif crops more susceptible to infestation than Rabi crops?

Kharif season crops are known as Rainy season crops so in the rainy season the climatic conditions are very favorable for the pests and worms for their multiplication and growth also whereas in Rabi season the climatic conditions are harsh and not favorable for them.

Kharif crops are also known as rainy season and it has wet and humid conditions. These conditions are ideal for microorganisms to grow and multiply hence putting the plants at greater risk for diseases. While the rabi crops grow in harsher climates like winter where the microorganisms growth is minimal.
