Lead element is very dangerous to human health. Long exposure may affect the growth and development of small children. They may turn mentally retarded or may suffer any learning difficulties. High doses leads to even alteration of genes by chimerism whereas in slow doses it may cause fatigue, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation. Their cumulative storage in human body may affect kidneys, liver, intestine and also interfere in their normal functioning. So, lead pipes were banned in drinking water pipeline system .
