Students neglecting sports at school level because of the technology advancement, They are more concerned about the mobiles and computer than the sports , because technologies are grabing their attention. They seems to play video games more interestingly than the physical games .
Another major reason is because they are not being motivated by either of their teachers or parents. Parents usually provide them access to technology due to which they hate to do physical activities .

Its a big misconception that sports and other physical activities take children away from studies. Sports teach children teamwork, hard work, obeying rules, patience, sense of responsibility and many more other qualities. Schools play a very important role in teaching children the importance of sports. But nowadays, students are neglecting such activities because schools have a very poor environment of physical education. They don't provide enough sports equipment and play grounds for students to play and learn.
Another important factor is that parents also don't teach their children the importance of sports. Instead they emphasis their children to learn various computer and technological skills. These skills have their own importance but the importance of physical education cannot be neglected.
