Hello Guys

The outermost electrons in metals are loosely held due to which they can move from atom to atom. This is why metals areexcellent conductors of electricity. Liquidson the other hand conduct electricity by other means. Unlike in metals, the chemical bonding in liquids does not allow for electrons to move freely

The reason is that the atoms in metals are compactly packed which makes them good conductors of electricity. But in liquids the atoms are relatively loosely packedand have some space in between them which makes them poor conductors of electricity as compared to metals.
