Why are lungs divided into very small sac-like structures? Justify your answer. pls

lungs divided into very small air sac like structures to develop the total surface area and it is quite simple to transport oxygen to the part of the blood vessel and it is surround the air sacs and also air sacs have thin film of oxygen which support absorb faster manner.

Lungs are divided into sacs to increase the surface area and to easily transport oxygen to the blood vessels which surrounds the air sacs and also air sacs have a thin film of oxygen which helps to absorb oxygen quickly..........
