Answer:

Because during the breakdown of cell structure, when the cell gets damaged, lysosomes might brust and the powerful enzymes that it carries, to destroy any foreign material like bacteria, viruses etc, eat up their own cell.

Lysosomes are known as Scavengers of

cell as they consists some enzymes called hydrocitic enzymes. These enzymes remove the cell organelles which are not working properly by digesting them for a new replacement. For the removal of cell debris (waste) they are known as the Scavengers of the cells.
