2) Thus the enzymes normally don't come in contact with the rest of the cell.
3) The materials need to be destroyed are sent to Lysosomes.
4) At times, the Lysosomes burst realesing the enzymes to digest the cell.
5) Hence they are known as suicidal bags.

Why are lysosomes called suicide bags?
- If the cell is damaged, the lysosomes undergo autolysis and burst open.
- This results in the release of those hydrolytic enzymes.
- The released enzymes then digest their own cell and ultimately the cell dies.
Hence, they are called as suicidal bags of the cells.
