Lysosomes are called scavengers of the cell because when their is a disturbance in the cellularmetabolism in the cell , then the cellmay die and the lysosomes may burst the enzymes digest their own cell .Lysosomes also help to keep the cellclean by digesting the dead and worn out cells .

Lysosome r know as scavengers of the cell because they take up waste material... They r called suicidal bags of the cell because in case of any damage to the cell the lysosome destroys the whole cell!!
