For example, when cell gets damaged, lysosome may burst and the enzymes digest their own cell. Therefore lysosomes are known as the Suicidal bags of a cell or we can say that they posses different kind of hydrolases on release of these enzymes that cause death of cell.♡

Lysosomes are membrane-bound cell organelles that contains digestive enzymes. Their main function is digestion and waste removal. Now why are they given the name "suicidal bag of cell"?

Apparently when the cell gets damaged, lysosomes bursts and the degradative enzymes present in it digests the entire cell !!
