why are lysosomes known as suicide bags of a cell???

they are called so because they are responsible for the digestion of cell's bio molecules, old part's of cell and when a cell dies it bursts and digests the cell with the help of its digestive enzymes

if any bacteria enters into the cell then the lysosomes burst to kill the bacteria but the cell also will die.so they are called as suicidal bags.
