Transport and communication called lifelines of national economy because

1)This helps in the agriculture sector and secondary sector

2)Through the transportation and communication we expand our trade

3)This makes our life freely

4)Example =The industry wants to communicate with other country and wants to export this manufactured products in other country

5)Beacuse of transportation and communication we can easily communicate with others

Means of transportation and communication are called the lifeline of national economy because of the following reason:

1.An efficient and well developed system of transport is essential for the utilization of natural resources.
2.They are very basis of industries and trade of country.
3.Just as the arteries supply blood to the different organ of the body, a well developed system of transport maintains the movement of persons and products from one region to another region of the country.
4.Means of communication helps in sending and receiving messages and play an important role in creating awareness among the people at national level. These help in defending the independence and the national unity of a country.
