Metals are good conductors of electricity as they have positively charged ions. so these ions move freely through them and hence conduct electricity..whereas glass being a non metal does not contain any ions and hence does not conduct electricity..

Hope it helps..;)

rajindergopep57zfu: so can we mention that metals have ions
rajindergopep57zfu: actually at many places the answer is that they have electrons!!!
rubli: well
rajindergopep57zfu: would marks be deducted if i have written ions
rubli: so
rajindergopep57zfu: ok thnk u

because matter is a conductor of electricity it's allow the flow of electric current through them what is glass is insulator that do not allow the flow of electric current to them. the electricity can be conducting through gold silver copper aluminium. thank you.

rajindergopep57zfu: thnk u
rajindergopep57zfu: nice english
rubli: thanks
