why are minerals mined only in those regions where are the orrce in form of ores

The only source for minerals is their ores themselves. Because elements like Iron, Aluminium, Copper etc are highly reactive and can't sustain independently. Therefore, they react with oxygen and other less reactive compounds that are easily available in nature and are either found in the form of oxides or salts.
