Why are most night flowers white in colour but with a sweet fragrance?

becz at night only the release of oxygen takes place and its not compulsory to have all night flower white only it depends on the contents such as chrolophyll , carotene etc

Flowers that bloom at night have sweet fragrance because on day flowers have bright colours to attract insect but at night they produce nectar and some are sweet smelling like Night jasmine to attract insects at night
