The mountains arc thinly populated because of harsh climate. The slopes are steep and soil is lack. These conditions are not favourable for agriculture.

Mountains are the tough topographical areas where humans can survive as a result the life on mountains is not easy also mountains disconnect people from populated Ares

as a result mountains are sparsely populated or thinly populated.
