Why are neutrophils increased in acute inflammation?

Hy,
WBCs, or leukocytes are known as soldiers of the body.
Neutrophils and plasma cells are the first line of defence in controlling any inflammation in the body, so in the starting phase, to limit the infection, neutrophils come and helps in limiting acute inflammation.
