Why are not all animals oviparous? Does being viviparous offer any advantage to organisms??

All animals are not oviparous this is due to the fact that these have do not exhibit the capability to lay the eggs. The vivipary animals have the advantage that is fertilization takes place within the female body thus the embryonic development is safe within the mothers womb.
