Only "final goods" are counted in 'measuring GDP' because, these goods are used in formation of 'final good' which are included as the 'final good', for the reason it will be 'counted twice' in number.
EXPLANATION:
The used furniture value which is bought and sold is not taken into count because, the used furniture would have been included in the 'GDP', the year before, so its not counted in the present gdp (gross development product).
