So far the trend seems to be that large systems made up of unique components tend to allow said components to be connected by laws or rules, that being electronic connections for the internet and the laws of physics for our universe.

This realization begs the question, is the system itself alive, or are the driving forces behind it the part that is alive? The living force behind the internet is clearly human, but what about the universe? That is the true question, which people have argued over, have been killed over, and has affected human history since the dawn of civilization.

Whatever the driving/living force behind our universe may be, whether that is science or a divine being, let us only hope that it is benevolent toward our endless, deadly struggle to understand an endless reality.
