Why are papaya and dateplam plants said to be dioecious, whereas cucurbits and coconut palms monoecious, inspite of all of them bearing unisexual flowers?

becoz papaya is unisexual plant and coconut is bisexual plant

Papaya and date palm plants bear flowers of only one sex, either female flowers or male flowers. Both sex flowers cannot be borne on the same plant and so they are called dioecious. Cucurbits and coconut palms are called as monecious because they bear female flowers and male flowers in the same plant.
